The horizon is that line that separates sky and sea while bringing man and infinity together.
The Villa dell’orizzonte is a gem set on the Sicilian coast, immersed in a private oasis halfway between Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo. As you enter the gate, the view opens out over the vast estate which, descending to the sea, shows itself as a library of the most diverse flowers with olive groves, Mediterranean scrub and rare plants. The large house is on three levels, two of which are above ground and are located a few steps from the sea. On the ground floor we find all the spaces for conviviality. The large double-height living room overlooks through the large windows the external loggia, projecting the guest into the infinity of the sea. Behind it the large kitchen opens onto the south loggia, protected on three sides, allowing guests to eat outside even when the wind is blowing from the sea towards the house. The first bedroom on the ground floor has an en-suite bathroom and independent access from the outside as well as being connected to the inside of the house, allowing a further degree of privacy. Facing south we find the study with sofa bed with its own bathroom and the service bathroom of the living area as well as connections to the upper and lower floor. The first floor houses the main sleeping areas: the master bedroom is certainly one of the most incredible rooms of the property, like a house within a house it overlooks three different sides and contains the walk-in wardrobe, the bathroom with bath and shower, the separate toilet and one of the most unique views of the north Sicilian coast that stretches endlessly into the sea. On the south side are the other two bedrooms of the floor, both with en-suite bathrooms and access to the large terrace. Outside you can spend your time surrounded by nature and extraordinary views, the living area facing the sea is protected from the sun by a large pompeian under which sofas and tables transform the outside into the main space of the house. Where the pergola ends but the pedestal continues, a large “conversation pit” has been dug, with a large brazier/barbecue in the centre to watch the sea at sunset in front of the fire. The lawn and plants surround the unique circular swimming pool, a mirror of circular water where the magic of the infinity edge makes you lose the boundary between the end of the pool and the beginning of the sea. The path inside the property leads directly to the Fossa dello Stinco, one of the most spectacular descents to the sea in the area.
